Weddings at Rosemount

The grounds and east veranda

Rosemount rents its grounds and east veranda for weddings and other outdoor events. Ceremonies can be held on the veranda or on the grounds, and small receptions can be booked in the Carriage House. The inside of the mansion is not available for weddings or receptions, and receptions or dances are not allowed on the veranda.

Season and booking

• Outdoor events are available May through September.
• Weddings are booked starting January 5 each year. Before then, a tentative date can be held only with the Museum Director’s approval, once the museum has set its calendar.
• A date is confirmed with a deposit and a signed contract.

Fees

Fees are on a sliding scale, based on how many hours you use the property and how many guests attend. A 2 to 3 hour event with 100 or more guests is a $300 deposit and a $600 rental fee. Fees may vary with each event.

The deposit is due when you book and is returned within one month after the event. The rental fee is due 30 days before the event.

Photography

Photos may be taken anywhere on the grounds, by couples married here or elsewhere, and for families, graduates and other occasions, with permission in advance. Alarms are set on the porches when the museum is closed, so the porches are open only during museum hours. Some dates and times may not be available because of other events. Please call ahead for permission.

Photos inside the mansion need prior permission from the Rosemount Board of Directors and the Director, and a $250 fee.
